How to Prepare for SAO

Preparing:

  1. Review course descriptions and academic information in Academic Calendar. Tips can be found on the Office of the Registrar page.
  2. Verify that you have your Western Identity set up by visiting Western Technology Services
  3. Upload a photo for your WesternOne card
  4. Submit Advanced Placement (AP) College Board test results or International Baccalaureate (IB) official transcripts to the Undergraduate Admissions Office (Main Campus), if applicable, by July 15th. All courses eligible for transfer credit consideration should be submitted prior to your course registration and no later than September 5, 2019.

What to bring:

  1. Government-issued photo ID
  2. List of required courses, elective courses, and programs/modules of interest
  3. Language placement tests (if applicable)
  4. Course outlines, and syllabi if you have previously attended another college, university, or non-Canadian secondary school
  5. List of questions you may have
  6. Pen and paper

Preparing:

  1. Collect all course outlines and syllabi for courses that are prerequisites for the required courses in your intended modules(s)
  2. Review all course descriptions and academic information in the Academic Calendar, particularly the following sections:
    1. Degree Structure
    2. Modules & Required Courses
    3. Course suffixes & breadth requirements
    4. New Student Info on Registrar's Website
  3. Obtain your Western Identity by visiting Western Technology Services
  4. Upload a photo for your Western One card
  5. Submit Advanced Placement (AP) College Board test results or International Baccalaureate (IB) official transcripts to the Undergraduate Admissions Office (Main Campus), if applicable, by July 15th. What to have ready with you:
